A meetup for schools involved with or interested in joining the Real Food Eastern Massachusetts network. We will be sharing our experiences with food and dining services at our schools, learning strategies to make change, expanding our grassroots student-led network, and enjoying each other’s company over a potluck lunch.

Our next meetup is a potluck scheduled for January 19th, somewhere in/near Boston…we’ll post details as soon as they are confirmed.
Slow Food BU is progressing nicely; we are in the midst of conducting surveys about the demand for local foods in dining halls. Tonight, we had a lovely dinner with the French Cultural Society, and next week we go all out with Slow Down for Slow Food: A Foods Bazaar. The event will be a super-bake-sale: foods prepared by Slow Food BU members, with stories and recipes to go along, plus information on Slow Food and local/sustainably produced foods. It’s in the George Sherman Union Link (775 Commonwealth Avenue) from 10am-3:30pm; stop by if you’re in the area!
Plus, a breath of fresh air for us urban dwellers. Think it can happen?
